Dahua DH-XVR4116HS-I is a 16-channel multi-format Penta-brid video recorder with a high level of performance and full-channel AI coding for building hybrid video surveillance systems. Belongs to the WizSense series with an independent AI chip and deep learning algorithm support.
The basis is a processor with the Linux operating system. Bandwidth of video recorder – 64 Mbit/s.
XVR supports all major camera formats – AHD, HDCVI, CVBS, TVI and IP. It allows you to simultaneously connect up to 16 analog cameras with a maximum resolution of 1080p, and 16 IP cameras with a resolution of up to 6 MP. When replacing 2 analog cameras with IP, the recorder gets 18 channels for network video cameras.
Video is recorded in two streams and in the following formats: 1080N; 720p; 960H; D1; CIF. In the main stream, recording is carried out with a resolution of 1080N/720p (1-25/30 fps) – only 1 channel, the rest of the channels support a resolution of 1080N/720p (1-15 fps); 960H/D1/CIF (1-25/30 k/s); in the substream – CIF (1-7 k/s).
The video recorder has the ability to connect IP cameras up to 6 MP, HDCVI, AHD and TVI video cameras with a resolution of: 1080p, 720p; Camera CVBS – PAL/NTSC.
The XVR is equipped with a built-in audio input and audio output (RCA), which allows recording and playback of video with sound. For watching videos on monitors or TVs, the device has video outputs: HDMI and VGA (1920×1080). There are also built-in 2 USB ports (2×USB 2.0) for connecting peripheral devices and 1 RS485 port for controlling PTZ cameras.
The RJ-45 network interface (100 M) allows you to connect the recorder to the Internet and view streaming video from connected cameras, as well as search the archive, etc. To watch videos, it is enough to install the application from the developer and have access to the network, or use a web client.
For video storage, an HDD storage device is used, which is connected via a SATA connector. Supports disks up to 10 TB. It is powered by a DC12V/2A source. Consumption – <10 W.

Video compression is carried out by modern codecs H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264, which reduce the size without losing quality. Smart encoding reduces data transfer rates and storage requirements by up to 50%. Also, an intelligent codec is supported, which compresses the video and leaves clear data about people and vehicles.
XVR automatically detects the camera signal format, which speeds up the setup of the entire system.
HDCVI technology supports long-distance data transmission over coaxial and UTP cables: max. 700m for 4K/4MP, 800m for 1080p and 1200m for 720p.
